humorous argument

http://www.theonion.com/content/whitehousewar/johnmccain

I've been reading the onion for several years now and I've always thought it was hilarious. This is a funny page that parodies the candidates' views on the issues. I'll just let the page speak for itself.

1. Effective- I thought it was effective because it made me laugh.
2. Suggestions- I think you could add a little bit of information that ties into one of Obama's current policies about the economy.
3. Response- I don't think it is too silly; not everything has to be so serious. Sometimes it is good to read something that is just funny.

You had a really good approach to the humorous argument and it was extremely creative and hysterical. I can tell you have been reading the onion for a long time because you know exactly how the articles are structured. I like that it didn't really contain any information directly from the election but was kind of indirectly referring to the bailout plan. I thought it was really entertaining and funny.

Charles-

Effective- Obama's comments are used really well. Portraying him as a "gamble" with our economy was very effective

Suggestions- Maybe a picture of Obama either cheering on the race or rolling around in cash?

Response- It was very funny, parodied a lot, and it was light-hearted

Charles,
I think your idea is very creative and I enjoyed the silly approach. Despite being kid of silly, I think it still portrayed a great point and image about Obama. I especially enjoyed the carrot comment.

Charles,
I loved your article of humor. I think you did a very good job on it and it was funny and clever. I don't think you need to worry about having valid information because the piece is suppose to be stretching information to prove a point. Unique idea, great job, I wouldn't change it.

Very funny and easy to understand. You may want to take out the part about Biden and just focus on Obama but it is fine if left as is. I don't think it's too far fetched and it's a great idea.

Your article is not too silly. I thought it was very funny, and it did imitate what you might find on the onion very well. I would just say you could go into the topic of Obama trying to double the money more. I think that could beef up the article and make it even funnier. Good stuff.

It was a good idea to shy away from the type of arguments that the nearly the entire class decided to do. The best thing about your is that it was made to laugh. This helped get your point across and it would be great for the Onion which you said would be what it would be published on. I think it would be a bit better if you did add some information on topics of the campaign.

Charles..I thought your article was hilarious. I think we have alot of the same humor. Your sarcasm was great..although people unlike you and me may be offended..but they shouldn't be reading things like this anyways.
I loved that you jabbed at the tax ideas and the bail out plan. Loved it.
